Reel Women Australia is all about encouraging more people — especially women — to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and embrace the outdoors.
We’re far from professionals, and that’s exactly what this community is about. We’re learning as we go, building new skills, sharing the highs and lows, and bringing others along for the journey — from complete beginners like us to those experienced adventurers who might even teach us a thing or two along the way.
Even though the name is Reel Women, this community is for anyone who shares a love for adventure, the ocean, camping, fishing, and the outdoors - Families, mates, partners, kids, and the people who support and encourage us behind the scenes.
We’ve been incredibly lucky to receive so much support and encouragement from our family, friends, and the amazing community around us, especially the Redland Bay Amateur Fishing Club.
At Reel Women Australia, our clothing is designed for real outdoor living — made to be practical, comfortable, durable, and easy to wear wherever the adventure takes you. Whether you’re out on the boat, camping, exploring, or just enjoying everyday life, we wanted to create pieces that feel good, look good, and hold up to the outdoors without the expensive price tag.
Every design is custom created by Reel Women, inspired by the ocean, fishing, adventure, and the lifestyle we love most. From the graphics to the small details, each piece is designed with creativity, personality, and authenticity in mind, so our community can wear something that genuinely represents the outdoors and the people who love it.

What makes you happiest when you’re outdoors?
The warm sun, fresh air, and being able to switch off and enjoy the simple things.
What are your favourite outdoor hobbies?
Beach fishing, camping, boating, driving on the sand, and walking the doggos by the water.
What do you love most about the ocean?
The sea life, the colours, the salty air, and the feeling of freedom it gives you.
What’s your go-to campfire feed?
You can’t go wrong with a good steak, but I do love a good meat snd veg skewer.
What’s your must-have item for every adventure?
Hard to choose just one! Definitely my Yeti water bottle and Sol Sista Butterblock sunscreen.
What does the Reel Women community mean to you?
It means support, encouragement, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to get outdoors, have fun, and try something new together.
What inspires your clothing designs?
Comfort is a big one for me — I love relaxed, loose-fitting pieces. I’m inspired by wildlife, plants, and the colours the ocean and outdoor landscapes.

What makes you happiest when you’re outdoors?
Being out on the water with my family and friends, chasing fish, watching the sunrise, and creating memories that last a lifetime. There's nothing better than disconnecting from the everyday and enjoying nature.
What are your favourite outdoor hobbies?
Fishing, whether it's offshore, inshore, beach fishing or camping trips. I also love boating, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors with my boys.
What do you love most about the ocean?
The freedom and the peace it brings. Every trip is different, and you never know what's waiting beneath the surface. It's a place where you can reset, challenge yourself, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
What’s your go-to campfire feed?
I love making rissoles and also potato bake in a camp oven and cooking on the coals.
What’s your must-have item for every adventure?
My fishing gear, a camera to capture the memories, and great company. The adventure is always better when it's shared. Oh and Rose all day! 😀
What does the Reel Women community mean to you?
It's about creating a welcoming, supportive space where women of all ages and experience levels feel confident to get involved in fishing. It's about encouraging, inspiring, and celebrating each other's achievements both on and off the water.
What inspires your clothing designs?
Our love of fishing, the ocean, and the amazing women who enjoy the outdoors. I want to create clothing that's comfortable, practical, and something women are proud to wear whether they're on the boat, at the beach, or out and about.

As a committee member of the Redland Bay Amateur Fishing Club, I'm passionate about growing female participation while also encouraging the men in our community to champion, support, and welcome more women into our sport. Together, we can create a stronger, more inclusive fishing community for everyone.
